The new standard HDMI 2.0 in 2012!
To watch video on a TV screen in high definition with Blu-ray players and other video equipment have been developed version of the standard HDMI 1.2 and HDMI 1.3. The emergence of 3D television required the introduction of HDMI 1.4a. It has long been rumored on the development of advanced version of HDMI 1.4b and it should already be provided.
However, the association HDMI.org trying to look into the future. Recently in Los Angeles hosted a conference of experts to develop a new version of the participants in HDMI 2.0. Regular working meetings are scheduled for 20, 21, 22 December. The purpose of the meetings is to develop and coordinate a year-end basic requirements – specifications and added features for the next version of the standard.
Recently it was reported that HDMI 2.0 will be developed earlier than expected, but rather to the middle of 2012. The new version of HDMI is compatible with existing HDMI1.4a and will include features not provided by HDMI 1.4b. More dates and details of HDMI 2.0 are likely to be announced soon at CES 2012 in January.
