According to reports coming from Japan, the company Panasonic, not previously seen in the interest OLED HDTV, erected in g.Himeji production area, under which are already ordered equipment for the production of OLED panels. In this town there is a Panasonic factory for the production of LCD panels IPS type. The initial investment in new production will be relatively modest and focused more on development activities and research. Panasonic is going to use OLED displays in smart phones and more. In addition, the company is interested in the production of OLED lighting systems.

Earlier, in 2009, Panasonic jointly with another Japanese company, Sumitomo has developed a prototype OLED TV based on the P-OLED technology. And recently, Sumitomo announced the production of P-OLED panels, which are much cheaper to produce due to the “print” manufacturing techniques, but initially yielded a number of parameters produced today OLED model HDTV.
